“Leaky gut” syndrome, formally known as “increased intestinal permeability” is a condition of the digestive tract. It occurs when toxins and bacteria leak through spaces in the walls of the intestines and those toxins and bacteria make their way into the bloodstream.

Microbiota, bacteria that lives within the intestines, plays a vital role in digestion. Not only do they aid in the breakdown of food, but they also shield the walls of the intestines and assist in immune functioning. In patients who have leaky gut syndrome, however, it is believed that the bacterium within the intestines is imbalanced. As a result of this imbalance, the gut can become inflamed, allowing the microbiota, as well as toxins, to pass out of the intestines and make their way into the blood.

Symptoms of leaky gut aren’t pleasant. They include changes in bowel movements, including:

  • persistent diarrhea and/or constipation
  • abdominal pain
  • headaches
  • inflammation throughout the body
  • joint pain
  • confusion and difficulty concentrating
  • chronic fatigue
  • issues with the skin, such as excessive dryness, acne, and/or rashes.

Whether you’ve been diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome or you’ve been experiencing symptoms that are associated with the condition, there’s no doubt that you’re looking for a solution. While lifestyle changes, such as eliminating sweeteners (both real and artificial), reducing meat and dairy intake, consuming more fiber-rich foods, adding probiotics to the diet, regular exercise, and reducing stress levels can help to minimize the effects of leaky gut syndrome, often, these changes aren’t enough. Moreover, in today’s fast-paced society making such drastic lifestyle changes can be difficult. Fortunately, there’s another solution that may be able to help ease the unpleasant symptoms you are experiencing: GutConnect 365.

What is GutConnect 365? How do you take it? And most important, does it work? Below, you’ll find answers to these questions and more. The information presented in this review is intended to help you determine if GutConnect 365 is worth your while.

  • Higher energy levels

Ingredients in GutConnect 365

As mentioned, GutConnect 365 is comprised of a proprietary blend of nine superfoods. These ingredients include:

  • L-Glutamine – 5000 mg
  • Quercertin Dihydrate – 500 mg
  • Slipper Elm Bark – 150 mg
  • Organic Marshmallow Root – 150 mg
  • N-Acetyl Glucosamine – 150 mg
  • Licorice Root Extract (deglycyrrhizinated) – 50 mg
  • Aloe Vera Extract – 50 mg
  • Maitake Mushroom Extract – 30 mg
  • Zinc Orotate – 20 mg

It also contains stevia leaf extract, a low-calorie, sugar-free sweetener, to sweetens the supplement, as well as natural ingredients that provide a vanilla cinnamon flavor. The product also contains medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil powder.

While all ingredients are said to “calm” the lining of the gut, thereby preventing bacteria and toxins from passing through the digestive tract and into the bloodstream, the ingredient that shows the most promise is L-Glutamine.

According to medical experts, L-Glutamine, or simply Glutamine, delivers fuel to the cells that line the gastrointestinal tract. As such, it is believed that Glutamine may help to reduce intestinal permeability, thereby helping to ease leaky gut syndrome and the symptoms that are associated with it.

This supplement is safe for most food allergens or food sensitivities. It’s gluten-free, so it’s safe for people who suffer from Celiac disease or a gluten sensitivity. GutConnect 365: Instructions for Use

GutConnect 365 is packaged in 8.4 ounce containers and comes with a scoop. Directions for dosage were not available on the United Naturals website, so we contacted a representative of the company to find out more information.

According to the associate we spoke to, one dose of GutConnect 365 should be taken per day, at any time of the day. During the first two weeks, mix ½ scoop of the supplement into an 8 ounce glass of plain water. Allow the powder to dissolve and drink it down. After two weeks, increase the amount to 1 full scoop to an 8 ounce glass of plain water.

The package does not contain information regarding whether or not GutConnect 365 should be taken on a full or empty stomach. We reached out to United Naturals to find out how it should be taken. According to the representative we spoke with, while it can be taken on a full or empty stomach, ideally, the rep said that it should be taken first thing in the morning before breakfast or between meals; in other words, it would be better to take it on an empty stomach.

A single jar of GutConnect 365 is supposed to last for approximately 37 days. Thereafter, jars of the supplement should last approximately 30 days (as you will be taking a full scoop of the supplement from the start of additional jars). According to United Naturals, GutConnect 365 should be taken every day. With a few weeks, the supplement will calm the lining of the gut and minimize the spaces in the intestinal wall that lead to leaky gut syndrome. The manufacturer claims that you may be able to start noticing results within a week of taking the product, though you should see the full effect after several weeks of consistent use.

What if You Don’t Like GutConnect 365?

GutConnect 365 is backed by a 60 day money back guarantee. If, for any reason, you are unsatisfied with the product, United Naturals will provide you with a full refund within 60 days of purchasing. This money back guarantee is a testament to the quality of the product and the manufacturer’s confidence. It also means that, if you want to try the product, you can have peace of mind doing so, as you can get your money back if you are not happy.

Why does the article say gutconnect 365 is free of shell fish and the label says n-acetyl glucosamine is one of the ingredients which is from shell fish. I am a vegan vegetarian and I have a container that I am not using because of that!

    1. Laura

Maureen thank you for clarifying about the shellfish ingredient, I too am vegan and have been searching for the ingredient list and explanation.

    2. Bob Eckstrom

N-acetyl-D-glucosamine is the product that has shell fish included and states in the article that It may also cause allergic reactions for individuals who are allergic to shellfish products. My bad, upon further reading your glucosamine without the (d) also has reference to shellfish products. Curious what their response is going to be.

  5. Sarita

I was on the internet looking for reviews. I purchased the three month’s supply. I am not affiliated with this company . I have been taking the Gutconnect 365 for three days . I am a 54 year old female . Six years ago . I was told by. Natural Pathic Dr. that I had leaky gut . I began taking Golive pre/ probiotic daily . That did provide me with some relief. My symptoms were: certain foods would cause instant diarrhea. I would get sharp stomach pain . I would have severe bloating and unbearable indigestion. I was drinking ginger with most of my meals- and with severe heartburn , I would use an anti acid. I don’t have a strict healthy diet , but I do eat a big salad or vegetables daily and drink at minimum 60 ounces of water a day . I do crave sugar – desserts , chips , candy . I work midnights , and I am a first responder – stress job. In three days of taking this product , and not changing anything . My stomach is calm . I am amazed that I’m not thinking about drinking ginger or something that could cause belching . I’m not thinking about the desserts or eating a lot of carbs . I’m fact, I want more salad . I was trying to see if anyone else taking the product was seeing a change too ? .

  8. Lauren

I was reading the back of GutConnect 365TM and discovered in tiny print “Tree Nut”. BUT they claim there is no “Tree Nuts” in the product. If I had taken this I would have ended up in the hospital with aniphilac shock. There are 2 billion people with nut allergies in the world. Does this company want to be in many many lawsuits!

Stop whining Americans. If this can help, isn’t worth a shot. I have an autoimmune disease and willing to try anything that can help me. Inflammation, joint pain and diabetes. Beer and liquor cost more and does cause problem.

  10. Robina

I bought this product during an online quarantine buying spree and after watching the online boring repetitive infomercial. I have not been diagnosed with “leaky gut” syndrome and had never heard of it until today. I purchased the product because it sounded like a probiotic and my gut has been very uncomfortable for months and wondered if it would help. When the product arrived I put it aside and ignored it, because I was ticked at myself for succumbing to an infomercial and just though it might be a hoax, So, a couple of months later, still agonizing about my gut and trying different probiotics and laxatives, without a comfortable solution, I decided to try the product. I have been using it daily (1 scoop) for about a week and have noticed improvement in my gut function. I still feel some gut pain, but it is not excruciating as before. and very livable. I have had X-rays, cat scan, blood tests and ultra sound. Doctor says there is nothing wrong!! My next step is to see a gastroenterologist because I still feel something else is going on. Bottom line, my gut is feeling better and I am more regular regardless of whether I am using it for the right reasons. Only thing, I discovered I am using it incorrectly, by mixing with fresh fruit blended in my Ninja and not plain water! trying it with water beginning with water! I wills if it makes any difference. Comment on cost – no more expensive than a health store probiotic!
